We have decided to close doeling reservations for the 2020 kidding season in an effort to fulfill all of our general reservations in addition to the specific reservations that have been placed. We may open them up again later in the season if we have space. Buckling reservations are still open.
Sales and Pickup/Goat Policy
Feel free to contact me with any questions!
Deposit Information: We require a non-refundable deposit of $100 on live kids (reservations on unborn kids are free). The only cases of exception for deposit refunds would be in the case of death and illness prior to pickup. We accept PayPal and checks through the regular mail. If you choose PayPal, we request that you use the Friends and Family payment option to avoid fees on our end in this transaction. We do not hold animals without a deposit. Nothing is considered "sold" until payment is received. We operate on a first-come, first-pay basis. We do not ship.
Reservations: Reservations go in order. If you specify a doe (saying doe from Lucky rather than saying doe kid, for example), you come first if you were first on that doe. Then I go from there, so keep up with the breeding schedule so you can get first pick on the doe of your choice. I will accept up to three reservations on doelings and three reservations on bucklings on each doe. Also, if we come to your name and you pass on an opportunity, your name will be moved to the bottom of the list. Please note you will be given 48 hours to decide if you will take the kid. Reservations are free, but we require email and phone number contact information.
Pickup: Your kid may be picked up from 8 weeks of age and on. I will contact you (or you may contact me) when the time comes and we can schedule a date. When you come to get your kid, you pay the rest of the money and you will also receive your registration paperwork and goat information. We also offer transport, please reach out to us for pricing to your area! Transport fees must be paid with deposit if this is how you have chosen to get your goat. A date for pickup must be made by at least four weeks of age. If goat is not picked up by agreed date, a boarding fee of $5 per day per goat will be applied. If not picked up upon agreed date, the buyer understands that they may forfeit their purchase as well as lose their deposit and the goat may be sold to someone else at any time after this date. Boarding fees will still be a required payment.
Guarantees: I do not have any guarantees regarding the animal other than them being in good health on the day of pickup. We are not responsible for the goat's performance. (Although I do have high hopes!) We are also not responsible for the animal's health after leaving our care because we cannot control what happens to it from here. After pickup, the goat becomes your responsibility. (So make sure you're prepared!) We also do not guarantee height on our kids for what they will be as adults.
Notes: We reserve the right to retain any kid at any time. We also reserve the right to refuse a sale to any individual or farm at our discretion. We also reserve the right to refuse transport to any individual or farm at our discretion. We also reserve the right of refusal. We are not responsible for taking in animals that we have sold to individuals as we have our own responsibility to maintain biosecurity for our herd. Our current price range is $100 for wethers, $350 and up for bucklings, and $450 and up for doelings. We typically do not sell bottle babies as we feel that dam-raising is a much better option to have healthier kids. We may occasionally have adult animals available for sale, but we do not run a reservation list for this. You can keep an eye on our FB page and website. As worming schedules and protocol are continually changing with new products and better protection arising, you can be provided with an individual health record for your kid upon request. If you request health certificates or other veterinary services before purchase, all costs associated with this will become your responsibility.
